There lies a land on the outskirts of southern Utah where a Star Wars fan can truly feel at home.
“This place is unlike anywhere else you’ll stay. It’s an artist expression, a story, but most importantly, it’s a feeling.”
Named “Outpost X,” this magical place transports its visitors to the desert of Tatooine for a day, allowing one to say goodbye to the regular world and hello to a whole new one filled with out-of-this-world relaxation, cantina dance parties, and amazing food.
Where to Stay
Select from a variety of themed rooms, including caves that look right out of the movies, glamping domes with 360-degree views, and even a Viking-themed tent (which is admittedly unrelated to Star Wars, but incredible all the same). All are equipped with great amenities and even better views.
What to Eat
The conveniences of civilization are quite far away, so Outpost X offers a self-cooking experience where food and recipes can be ordered ahead of time through their website and delivered to guests’ rooms, leaving it up to them to “provide the magic touch” according to Outpost X’s website.
What to Do
Visitors can stay for multiple days or simply purchase a day pass. Both options allow guests to relax at the X-Spa, create fun mocktails in the cantina, or get lost in the immersive game room. There is even a sand cruiser tour included in certain experience packages, allowing one to zoom around Outpost X’s one hundred acres of pure desert—just watch out for sand people!
What to Wear
Everyday clothes are permitted of course, but visitors may want to even look the part in this mystical land. Luckily, there are clothing packages offered on-site. Said packages come with two to three articles of clothing and a character card with name, occupation, and backstory, allowing one to truly be immersed and take on an entirely new persona.
So whether visitors are hitting the dunes on a sand cruiser or dancing the night away at the cantina, Outpost X has a little something for every space movie lover.
