Oaxaca [wah-HAH-kah]
Flying into the small airport of Oaxaca (pronounced wah-HAH-kah), Mexico, I noticed the patchwork of farm fields covering the landscape. I travelled to Oaxaca during the warm Christmas season when the temperature averages around 81 degrees Fahrenheit. The people of Oaxaca are proud of their heritage and work hard to protect the fashion, craftsmanship, and foods native to this region.

Finding the Fjord
One of the most beautiful roads in the world spans seventy-five miles and takes you from Te Anau to Milford Sound in New Zealand. This path, also known as State Highway 94, weaves through the Fiordland National Park in southwest New Zealand. As you drive along this winding road, you can take in the impressive natural landscapes of rain-forested mountains, towering waterfalls, and glassy lakes. Though the drive only takes two hours, there are plenty of stops along the way that make this one of the most scenic and exciting highways in the world.

Breathtaking fjords. Majestic mountains. Giant glaciers. In the ninth century, Vikings and other explorers happened upon this peaceful, beautiful island. This idyllic place came to be called Iceland because of the snow-tipped mountains and the drifting ice found in some of the fjords.
